Kedon Farms strives to meet the needs of discerning mare and stallion owners. We offer the following breeding services:
EMBRYO TRANSFERS
Kedon Farms offers embryo transfers for mares being bred to stallions standing at Kedon Farms or to "outside" stallions. In the case of "outside" stallions arrangements will be made to ensure your mare is bred and available for the embryo flush at the farm. Mare owners will be responsible for all additional costs incurred when breeding to "outside" stallions. Kedon Farms charges a $500.00 embryo transfer non-refundable deposit that must be returned prior to a flush and/or transfer. Deposits must be in our office before any embryo transfers are performed. A $500.00 fee will apply for each embryo flush/transfer. An ultrasound fee of $120 per pregnancy will apply to all donor mares being managed by Kedon Farms. When the recipient mare is confirmed pregnant at 30 days a $2,000.00 lease fee will apply. There will be a one-time $65.00 ultrasound fee charged on each recipient mare. All breeding meds administered to the recipient mare will be the responsibility of the mare owner. INDIVIDUALIZED MARE CARE
Kedon Farms offers mare care on an individual basis. All mares are in separate runs under cover. Feeding programs are customized to meet individual needs. High quality alfalfa, coastal hay, and a grain ration are fed twice a day. All horses are bedded on clean, fresh shavings. Staff members who live in or near the breeding facility perform regular checks (night and day) to monitor mare and foal safety. Wet mares will be charged $17.00 per day and dry mares will be charged $15.00 per day while they are boarded at Kedon Farms.
FOALING OUT FACILITIES
Kedon Farms offers "foaling out" facilities that are monitored 24 hours a day using the "Foal Alert" system on mares due to foal. This device is programmed to notify staff members when mares are about to foal. An alarm rings in the barn and residence and cell phones ring simultaneously. Manual checks are also performed every few hours prior to delivery. Mare owners are informed immediately of the new arrivals. A $450.00 "foal out" fee will apply.
STALLION MANAGEMENT
Kedon Farms offers the following services to stallion owners:
Reproductive laboratory
Complete stallion collection facilities
Semen evaluation
Cooled transported semen
Daily turnouts (large outside paddocks)
Advertising and promotional consultation
Stallions residing at Kedon Farms are housed in a private barn built with safely and comfort in mind. Each stall has an outside run attached and stallions have daily access to large turnout paddocks. Stallions are groomed daily and each stallion has a custom feeding program designed to meet his specifric nutritional needs.

SALE CONDITIONING
Kedon Farms offers customized conditioning for horses being prepared for auction. Ideally, at least 90 days is required to ensure maximum preparation time. Horses will be evaluated and placed on an individual conditioning program based on their special needs. Proper attention will be given to handling, grooming, clipping and conditioning. Kedon Farms will arrange transportation to the auction, ensure your horse is properly presented for viewing on the day of the sale, and attend your horse until it is sold.
